First big boy bath!

Last week, Landon was cleared by general surgery to take a bath in a tub, so that is what we did! I have to say...it is much quicker than sponge bathing him! He doesn't seem to mind getting a bath this way as much as the sponge bath.

We returned to the UW Children's Hospital last week to see his surgeons, pediatric cardiologist and nutritionist. They all were very pleased with his progress! Since his food intake is so crucial to him, we keep a log of his feedings and daily totals. I'm pretty anal about...which I'm sure isn't shocking to most of you! We took it with us so they could see his progress and they were so happy! He has done so well, the nutritionist increased his daily goal from 480 mLs to 510-515 mLs. He has since met that goal almost every day! He has improved so much over the last couple of weeks and we are so excited about that!

Our home health nurse didn't visit last week, but we did return to the Monroe Clinic last week. He weighed 8lbs 11oz on their scale. At his previous visit 8 days before that, he weighed 8lbs 2oz. Our pediatrician said he should be gaining 30 grams per day and that averaged out to 32 grams per day! Hopefully he continues on that path.

Landon continues to have a few consecutive hours of awake time during the day and has began looking for us when he hears our voices and finds us. I love that! He likes to move his hands and feet around a lot. He will hold onto his bib, blanket, or our fingers, but won't grab rattles yet. I think that is just around the corner...he is just 6 weeks old today, so I have to keep that in mind.

We had the Bartels Christmas yesterday...finally, and also celebrated Grandma Connie's birthday! He was very spoiled all day by our great family! He dressed up for the occasion!
